Marine and Tatlow

This building is a key contribution to the development of Marine Drive from a car-oriented commercial strip, into a walkable neighbourhood. The project is four storeys with a full commercial ground floor, lining the street with storefronts.

The building is designed with clear West-Coast overhangs and punched balconies. Furthermore, the building uses wood on the facade and roof soffits to make the spaces more inviting at an urban and user scale. The building breaks its windows and facade materials to respond to the corner condition and ensure a smooth transition. The exterior detailing ensures longevity of the facade, and the programming a social sustainability for the neighbourhood of North Vancouver.
