Grant Fourplex

The Grant Fourplex uses a townhouse-like scheme by splitting a building down its center for parking access. The site approach results in two buildings of two units each, a yard, and a raised amenity space. The approach gives clear unit identity, and a significant amount of open space per unit.

The massing of the fourplex is broken up to reduce its visual scale in the neighborhood, and juxtaposes wood-coloured and white volumes to define entries and show the interior conditions on the exterior facade. The design uses the split gabled roof to further show its contemporary character, thinking forward about design in the Tri-Cities.
